Cardolite® NC-510

3-n Pentadecyl Phenol, Cardolite® NC-510, is a 15 carbon meta substituted linear alkylphenol with both hydrophobic and hydrophilic character. It has proven performance in the photographic industry when used in novolac resins, coupling agents, silver diffusion elements, thermo sensitive materials, dyes, and antistatic agents to name a few.

NC-510 also provides specialty performance properties when used as a starting raw material in Pharmaceutical, Agricultural/Insecticide, Surfactant, Demulsifier, Lubricant, Pigment/Dye, Thermoset/Thermoplastic Resin Modifier, Fuel Additive, and Coupling Agent products.

 

Cardolite® Cardanol

Cardanol (NC-700)

 

The main component in processed cashew nutshell liquid (CNSL) is cardanol , a naturally occurring  metasubstituted alkenyl phenol similar to nonylphenol. Cardanol is hydrophobic in nature and remains flexible and liquid at very low temperatures.

In the early 20's the first commercial use for cardanol was developed by Cardolite. Our dedication to the advancement of CNSL based products has lead Cardolite to be the leading manufacturer and the supplier of the world's largest variety of  cashew based products. Possible applications for cardanol include:
