New Series of Phenalkamines Offered for Economical Coatings
Newark, NJ: Cardolite Corporation has recently introduced a new series of Phenalkamines. Called the NITE Series, Cardolite ® NITE 2045 and NITE 2046 are designed to help coating manufacturers formulate economical coatings. Though priced like conventional polyamides, these new phenalkamines provide superior performance characteristics. The NITE series, like traditional phenalkamines, offers rapid cure and property development at both ambient and low temperatures. In addition Cardolite ® NITE 2045 and NITE 2046 have superior water resistance, and good adhesion to marginally prepared surfaces (including rusty, cold or damp surfaces). Cardolite ® NITE 2045 and NITE 2046 are used to formulate economical primers for the marine, offshore, container, pipe and industrial maintenance markets.
New Cardolite® Reactive Modifier Newark, NJ: Cardolite Corporation has recently developed a low viscosity reactive modifier for epoxy resins, Cardolite® NX-4956. Cardolite® NX-4956 was designed to improve cure response and reduce film defects at low temperatures. Increased early water resistance is also seen with the addition of Cardolite® NX-4956. With a viscosity of 65 cps it is an excellent tool for formulators looking to develop sprayable high solids / solvent free coatings.
